This survey is intended for all adult LGBTQIA+ individuals living in Switzerland who identify as parents, have identified as parents, want to become parents, or have ever wanted to become parents. This survey includes all familiy types and can be filled out by multiple familiy members from the same rainbow familiy!

Here are a few examples:

• Households with a bisexual parent and a non-queer parent
• asexual solo-parents
• poly co-parenting constellations
• intersex parents / parents born with a variation of sex characteristics without a legal or bio-genetic relationship with their children
• gay parents with an (unfulfilled) desire to have children
• aromantic grandparents
• lesbian/sapphic parents, who are in the adoption process
• trans parents without Swiss citizenship

Queer people who do not live in Switzerland and non-queer people can make an important contribution by sharing our survey and flyers!

Unfortunately, there is very little data about queer families in Switzerland. Therefore, we don’t know how LGBTQIA+ people become parents, what obstacles they face along the way, or how they manage childcare in everyday life. Our survey results will be published, among other things, in a research report that will provide a basis for the work of organizations like the Rainbow Families Association and governmental bodies.
